RAF Phantom graves

I used to be a bit of a Phantom freak. After the F4's left RAF service in 1992, I was lucky enough to live right on top of one of the largest disposal companies in Essex. I took these between 1992 - 1994.

Here's a small selection of quite a few photos. One or two airframe components still in the garden too ;)

I was at RAF St.Athan when they were scrapping some of these beautiful old beasts, back in the 80's...they were doing it with a JCB, rotary saws and fire-axes!...I cried... :crying:

Looks like there are a few other interesting snippets in there as well.

In the last pic, you can just about make out what was either a canberra T4 or PR9 fuselage - there were both there at the time plus a T22. There was a Harrier GR3, Viscount and some tanks too.

Remind me to tell you about the meeting with the big F off dog one day :shit:
