Derek Bradshaw
Has anyone out there with a WWI bent got any good reference material for the Martinsyde F.4 Buzzard? I am finding difficulty getting my hands on anything useful, and I would be very grateful if anyone out there can help me? (I have a crazy desire to scratch build a 1/32 scale Buzzard!). Many thanks Derek
Nico Teunissen
I believe the best refrence would be an Albatros Windsock Datafile. I am quit certain they got one of this aircraft. I ordered a Buzzard in 48 scale from Polish manufacturer Karaya (Resin) this week. Good luck. Cheers, Nico
Derek Bradshaw
Thanks Nico - I shall track that book down. I would be interested on your opinion of the Karays kit (I didn't know that there was a 1/48 Buzzaard kit!). Thanks Derek I believe the best refrence would be an Albatros Windsock Datafile. Nico Teunissen
Hello Derek, I don't have the Karaya kit at home yet, but I built a Karaya kit about 1,5 years ago; the Airco DH5. This was the very best resin kit I have ever built. Very easy too with their metal strengtened struts. Easier to built then a "normal" injection biplane! Their Martinsyde is probably the very same quality. Look here for further information: http://www.karaya.ceti.pl/eng/buzzard.html Cheers, Nico P.s. became a dad recently? Derek Bradshaw
Ah, sorry Nico - looks like there was a slight misunderstanding there. I haven't been a recent Dad, although I do have two teenage children, a Daughter (20) and a Son (19). Cheers Derek Eh,...The questions was if you became one recently!
