Fmk.6john
Hi all I went to Elvington a few days ago and had a good look around the Handley Page Victor K.1 XL231 'Lusty Lindy', she is one of only two that are ground running. While I was there I was fortunate to meet a couple of guys working on her and we had a good chat about her, she has a fully servicable HDU (hose drum unit) ready to be fitted to her and when this is done she will be 100% servicable, in other words everything on her is fully workng and just like when she was in service. Also last year she was re-painted so she is looking all spangly and new ready for this years open days, rumour has it she will be run up during April sometime. Anyway onto the piccys, just a shame the weather didn't play ball but I tried my best. Re-fuel pod detail........ Engine detail..... Wing crescent detail.......... Engine intake detail..... Tail end........... Some more to follow........................ John.
