Okdoky
Another of my build projects sharing the workbench at the moment is this nice little 1/32 Fujimi kit to be converted into a mini skip truck similar to the Nissan Cabstar my brother owned as his new business venture. Kit was sold on ebay as 1/24 and I was a wee tadge peed off that it was only 1/32. That said it is a really neat wee kit and would look good as a civvy vehicle on a modern military diorama. He then went and broke the gearbox of the older Cabstar and had to buy himself this lovely new one which I can't find a kit for. kit parts go together easily for dry fit and moaldings were very clean and crisp. Lovely little rubber tyres represent Yokahama make Cab door got scribed out to allow placement in open position Chassis is basic and has no warping. Steering is posable Loading equipment main frame was temporarily glued to plasticard to allow sub frame to be added and all beam to be sset square and parallel Tail of chassis was shortened 13mm to match real truck length Dry fit on new chassis bearers This is quite a small size relative to the 1/24 DROPS truck also on the go Making the tiny skips was very simple and would look very nice as part of a diorama on their own Quick to cut and make in 1/32 or 1/35 Next came the main frame load arms and hydraulic rams I test fitted the arms for size and reach over the skips using this very simple jig Arm should be within centre line of skip Hope you like so far Nige
