Guest Drewe
All the main painting was done and all the masking was removed, then details were painted. I find it easier to paint things like turbine warning stripes, slime lights etc, it looks cleaner and better than fiddling with bits of decals to my eye most of the time. So all that was done, and she was glossed earlier this evening (Gunze Super Clear laquer). Decals next! The part side shot is to demonstrate how perfectly the blu-tak masking enables one to get upper/lower camoflage divisions looking.
mikeew
That sure looks good Drewe! The masking is brilliant, nice and neat. Good to see a Tomcat in something other than grey too
model_madness
Yeah I did my F-104 using blu-tac too, first time and was surprised at the results. BTW did you use maskin tape too?
