There's some movement with Troy PD - they forwarded my request to their retiree forum ... Keep your fingers crossed!

As for wiring the distributor, I have a ton of wire, needles and rods, so I try it ...

If not, I order the wired one from modelcargarage or similar ... :P

I started glueing parts of engine block, but for the link to the gearbox I needed a different approach... The hole is around 1.45 mm in diameter, and since the thickest wire I have is 1 mm only, I glued a piece of 1.5 mm rod first... Once dried, I'll drill 1 mm hole, to fit the copper wire...

P9271397.jpg

Front bench is glued too...

P9271396.jpg

Steering wheel needed some putty...

P9271402.jpg

BTW, there's plenty of sink marks around ...

I' try to sand the engine cover from inside with a power tool...

P9271407.jpg

Flanks needed some filling, too...

P9271409.jpg

P9271408.jpg

For future windows, I took a piece of tape and draw contours with a pencil...

P9271411.jpg

Tape was then glued to 0.5 mm clear styrene to cut it out in a shape, but 'till now without success, so there's no photos yet

P9271412.jpg

I started adding 0.5 mm styrene strips, 5 mm wide to mud guards... 0.5 mm is flexible enough for me ...

Oil pan and cylinder heads were glued too (this all will be blue one day) and as a base for starter I needed to add a piece of 0.5 mm styrene...

Last few days I focused on two details ...

First are connections between exhaust manifolds to exhaust and transmission to gear shift ...

So, transmission...

PA061457_2.jpg

This was fixed with a piece of sprue 3 mm in diameter and 3 mm in length

PA081472_2.jpg

Manifolds has similar problem ...

PA081476.jpg

I took a piece of wire isolation Ø2 and 4 mm in length ...

PA081483_2.jpg

For a better fit, especially to the cylinders, I "wired" exhaust manifolds, too....

PA081473_2.jpg

Now it looks more convincing ...

PA081485.jpg

PA081484.jpg

Breathers were shorten...

PA091490.jpg

And after glueing cylinder heads, a small problem appeared with air distributor ... I needed a piece of 0.5 mm styrene and some sanding for sidewalls....

PA091491.jpg

Second part is distributor wiring ...

I took 0.6 mm medicine needles and cut them into little pieces with power tool, 1-2 mm in length (some 30-40 pieces in total)

PA091495.jpg

PA091496.jpg

PA071464.jpg

PA071463.jpg

PA081486.jpg

Coil was first... I used 0.3 mm wire, cause I don't have 0.4 mm drill pin... Each end has a piece of needle glued with CA

PA091493.jpg

On valve covers I managed to drill 0.35 mm holes ...

PA091498.jpg

Lest side it finished for now, but all of this is testfit only, for taking pics only ...

PA101501.jpg

PA101502.jpg

For painting engine parts in blue, I have MM1510 (Blue Gloss) and Revell 50 (Light Blue Gloss) ... I think Revell will do...

Is there any progress on this one, Splinter? There's some great work going on here, I'm keen to see more of it!

Nice of you to ask, but a week before GB end all I can say it's on hold 'till further notice...

A day-or-two after my last update I got a call from the owner of the apartment which I'm paying rent for: I need to move out! My priorities changed in a rush, so Ford was packed in a box and it's still in a box.

I was sleeping in a hostel and ate in restaurants for a month 'till situation settled down.

Just on Monday I moved in new apartment, so I hope that after holidays I will be able to continue with my hobbies.

Once I continue working on Ford, I will ask admins to move this topic to ordinary WIP section.

Happy Christmas to everyone,

Tomislav

I'm so sorry to hear about your difficulties with your apartment, I've been homeless myself in the past, it totally

messes up your life. It's a shame your model won't be finished, but you've had bigger worries! I'll still be eager to

see it finished when you do get the opportunity. . .

Good luck in your new apartment!
