F-4 in trainer Markings

I found an F-4C/D? which needs new airbrushed painting. I just have it for the fun as it is not an model very good. It is very bad in detail, as this is very 70's Revell tooling F-4.

what colour of Yellow should I use?

I'm pretty sure the bands were done in insignia yellow FS13538 as part of a visibility test program for training flights in the mid 1970's. The 58th TFTW also painted several more F-4C's and some F-15A's with black and white and red and white stripes. Humbrol 24/154 or Gunze 329 are all pretty close matches.

Thank you Gary!! I was already thinking insignia yellow, but you confirmed it for me. I'm planning on doing the black and white on a Phantom too. and the Red white and Black & white on an F-15B. I have meanwhile cleaned the model in question with Mr. Muscle oven cleaner.

Tamiya XF-4 (yellow green) looks like a good match if you can't get Humbrol etc.

I'm planning Humbrol 24 to be used. Meanwhile I'm working on one slat which has minor damage . Once ready I can start airbrushing.

I may be wrong but I think the bands were unit ID bands like those used on F-86s in Korea, not specifically for 'training' markings.
