copey
Hello all, This is one of two projects I've started it's the Ital 1/48 Gripen. The kit is nice, apart from the decal cockpit, the wheel wells are good. I't is going to be pretty much out of the box,due to the fact there doesn't seem to be much in the way of aftermarket stuff, any way here are some pics. should have the fuse and wings all glued up tonite, that's all for now, Copey

Robban
Looks very good! A small tip, cut of the two smaller antennas on the spine and replace them with (much)smaller ones. If you do replace them make sure you put them somewhat to the left on the spine. Also, the nosegear of the kit is too high, it needs to be shortened by a 4-5mm. The Gripen has a slight nose down attitude on the ground.
copey
Hello all , I tried pre-shading and it didn't turn out so bad, Just the top side to do tomorrow, That's all for now. Copey

Mike
Looks good. I reckon a little more color to tone down the pre-shade would give it a more subtle look though...

Thanks chaps, This is my second attemp at pre-shading,The first time was on A-7, and had the opposite result I ended up painting the pre shade back out :banghead: so I'm still just getting the hang of it. Mike
Looks great... Those weapons will really bring it alive too. I used to hate painting weapons as a kid, and would often not bother, but these days I really enjoy making them look as good as possible, because they do add a great deal of realism to a completed build
Muller
I've been so long out of the hobby, I didn't know the Gripen existed! Yours looks great though! The most up to date Saab I've built is the Viggen.

dahut
I missed it - what kit was this? It looks really nice for a guy who is not too big on the modern stuff.
