AnonymousDFB1
This will be my build for the Group Build. SBD-3 Dauntless of VS2 USS Lexington, Battle of the Coral Sea 8th May 1942. My friend Mike Mcellaney will be building S-11 of Scouting 2 and mine will be S-8 I will be using the lovely Trumpeter 1:32 Dauntless kit, mostly out of the OOB with a little scratch enhancements, a mix of Mondex masks and Yellowhammer decals. Looking forward to starting this one... Edited November 16, 2011 by Mish

Iain Ogilvie
Ace Mish, I think the Dauntless is one of Trumpeters finest - should be a fun build! Iain

AnonymousDFB1
Well the first job was to fill the ejector pin marks on the back of the pilots bulkhead Trumpeter mistake #1 They show the rear position as having the emergency joystick in it's stowed and operating positions. As it was normally stowed, I'm chopping it off. I've drilled out the hole where it should go as well. Everything ready for paint And painted/assembled And dirtied up IP taking shape More tomorrow as I'm off out for dinner...
