Hey

Decided to start a WIP for this build so that I could tap into your guys resources. I know about most of the pitfalls with this kit like the oversized rivets, nose shape, oversized interior details, incorrect PE IP etc etc.

So I have started trying to "improve" it by scratching and modifying the kit. I don't have the funds at the moment to but the CC resin and other corrections out there that are available. I as said in the Panda thread. This will be the 3 Tone bird with the kit decals.

Well here are some pics of what I have done so far. If you guys see anything wrong or anything I have missed please let me know so I can try add/rectify it.

I cut out the starboard door framed it and covered it.

Started doing the same for the cabin doors, still need work though. Also if anyone has pics of the inside of the door that would be great!

next up are the seat's now this confuses me as I cant seem to find pics of the these kind of seats. I add the PE for the seat belts and some "cushioning"

I "boxed" in the rotor hub area and fashioned a "drive shaft"

some wiring behind the IP and cabin work.

Hey

Thanks gents!

After those macro shots I am focusing on cleaning up all the parts I am busy with at the moment before I start any new bits and it gets out of hand!!

In the mean time does anyone has pics of the cabin area and cabin doors (the inside) and the ceiling. Also what colour should the interior be Black or Gray? I have seen both in photos but unfortunately cant tell what the exterior paint scheme is.

I have found the walkarounds on PrimePortal (x3) and the one on ARC. I want to build a 3 tone bird to go next to my 3 tone AH-1W but am unsure of what needs to be modified on the inside/exterior etc bearing in mind that I am building from the box.

Thanks again

Brenden

Thanks Houston

Made a bit of progress on the interior. Starting with the cabin floor. Ive going to go with the all black interior and gray IP. I scratched the box at the end of the centre console will add map's and the like towards the end.

Also some fading on the floor

I puttied and sanded smooth the sound proofing on the area at the rear of the cabin and cover with plastic card, still working on this, need to add the "rings" and a few more details and fade the joins a bit more.

As always any tips or correction will be appreciated.

Hi Guys

Just a quick update

I have masked up the centre console and IP PE and sprayed Anthracite Gray and I think it came out really nicely. Still got to dry brush the IP. They are just tacked in place with Blu-Tac for now, I would like to get some feedback from you guys before I glue them in place.

Hi
I am following your build on ARC as well. It might be the angle of the photo but it appears that the IP is angled too far forward....
