mossie wheel wells colours

hi all i am building Tamiya 48 scale mossie as a FB MKVI and i need to know the wheel bay colour is it all grey green or grey green with silver UC doors and silver inside engine nacells

Hi there,

According to the painting instructions given in Air Publication 2019B. vol1, Sect.4, Chap.3 for the Mosquito Mks II, XII and XVII, the undercarriage wheel wells were to be finished in one coat of primer over which was applied one coat hydraulic resisting paint D.T.D 399 (grey-green).

If memory serves (if it doesn't, Edgar can probably add more info), these instructions held good for all marks of Mosquito from Mk II to Mk 36.
