you did ok with that

there are some ways to fix the cockpit windows, its an old problem;

fill the space and sand to shape, then use decals is the way most people go

otherwise, if it really doesnt fit at all well, replace it with clear plastic card, cut to shape.

If it fits ok but there are big gaps, fill the gaps with small amounts of filler, then use

micromesh to sand and re-polish it. Once you've done that, carefully mask the windows, leaving

the frames to be painted.
