miduppergunner
Yes - South Creake is only a few miles from where I live - noticed a lot of air activity earlier on - very strange thing to have happened. David.
Richard E
Very sad. Not sure how accurate (or relevant) it is but the BBC Radio news was reporting that the backseater was female and she had ejected whilst the Tornado was inverted. It also suggested he may have not ejected but there was a tragic seat fault. What a terrible accident if proven to be the case.
Derek Bradshaw
Very sad news indeed - I used to service (inspect) similar types of ejection seats for BAE SYSTEMS (or Bae, as it was then). It is very strange that an ejection seat should initiate whilst inverted. However, I do not know the facts, and undoubtedly, the truth shall out at some future point in time. Bobski
The back-seater who was killed was a member of the BAE Systems flight test team.
