My workbench

I'll play!

Just spent two days hoovering the place. Here's the emporium where Wolfpack creates his masterpieces, Thunderjug stores his unfinished models, :tumble: Silver Fox delves occaisionally as does Honeybee. :coolio:

The workbench current project.

A view into Thunderjug's part-build stash area. This of course excludes his part built stash at home.............. :redx::hmmm:

I'll join in the fun (just noticed this thread was started a year ago!!)

I have one half of my computer desk dedicated to randomly scattered bits of plastic, paint pots and the odd jar of ale (it is tidy sometimes but I'm in the middle of something honest :) )

Next, I have my shelves which have taken a long time to look "just right"

And finally, the beast which lurks in a cage in the corner of the room - "dogbrush-dog" :)

Wow, I'm quite jealous of everyone's work areas. Here's my own humble spot:

And my dove-proof cupboard for finished models:

My wife's birds have shown a remarkable faculty for wrecking the landing gear of Fujimi Spitfire XIVs, fat flying rats that they are.

OK, why not? Here's "The Hangar" as wifey call its:

Bench is designed to be worked at either standing up (which I do a lot, I've had seven back surgeries) or on a bar stool (which is where I usually end up because I'm a drunk). :P This was supposed to be the fourth bedroom in our house, but I finished it off as a work room instead.

Cheers,

Bill

Mine's in my garage - these pics were taken a while ago now, and more shelves have been added:

Mikey's the man! All of us other lame ducks have stacks of models, pictures of airplanes, reference books, and Mikey has...PIN UP GIRLS!

And a big freaking gun!! Live in a bad neighbourhood, Mike?

Cheers,

Bill

You did all that great work on the Trumpeter Lightning standing up!! I had to lie down after looking in the box of mine.

Having not built any kits for 20 years, I have decided to get back into it... Kicked off with a nice Hughes workbench in the garage... and all the bits are coming literally on a daily basis!!

Chris,

This is far too neat. Please spill some paint on the cutting mat so the rest of us won't feel bad. I enjoy spilling the paint right about where my elbows go.

Cheers,

Bill

LOL @ Bill..

I tend to do hand painting on a plastic tray so it doesn't go all over the mat! Airbrushing gets done in my little home made spray booth..as thiis is portable I just move it around where and when I need it too. I need to stop being a neat freak! ;)

Okey-doke I'm game for a laugh.

Here's the Borg alcove. It's just over 3ft wide, a little too cosy maybe but it is warm & permanaet so I'm not complaining.

The Memsahib has recently given me permission to move out of the alcove & into the spare room where I can build the hobby room of my choice. Conversion work starts soon. :kissing2::yahoo:

I've just noticed the clock, it says 2.30, thats am

Had a bit of a tidy today so here goes. This is my office/model workshop (or half the garage as the G/F calls it), I converted half of our garage about a year ago, with the other half for cycle storage (i have 9...).

The modelling Desk:

The 'work' Desk:

The Stash (deliberately constrained to fit in this cupboard and no more!)
