steveo3002
i find i can sometimes do a nice job with a marker pen , say if theres a fine edge or trim that needs doing in black , i can get better results than doing it by brush just wondered if anyone else ever does that ? and what pens do you choose as marker pens look a bit purple
kev67
I can't say that I use marker pens, only for drawing around the outlines on Vacform models to be cut out.
ancient mariner
Ive used a red (chisel tip) marker for the edges on USN undercarriage doors. Works for me(but maybe not competition stuff)
Iain Ogilvie
I use a black permanent marker to run around the mating edges of transparencies - reduces internal reflections and makes the clear component appear thinner. Iain
gengriz
I have a set of pens, mostly bought from Hobbycraft, that I use for all sorts of things: India Ink permanent black pen with thin point - e.g. have used to mark out edges of invasion stripes, rubber grommits around windows, serial nos, panel lines, oil stains (apply then rub with wetted finger), ends of gun barrels etc. Thick Magic markers - Black for touching up tyres etc, green & red (over silver) for nav lights, blue & green for helo cabin roof windows. Thin permanent markers - brown for weapons/missile stripes Paint Pens - Yellow for stripes around weapons, silver for all manner of things Correction pen (Tippex-type) for touching up white areas/lettering. Pencils - for panel lines & exhaust stains (smeared on cotton buds) Couldn't do without them!!!
