Bandwagon 106
Hi Korean, VF-84, along with VF-41 went to the Gulf of Tonkin in 1965/6, their one and only Vietnam cruise. They would have carried bombs, rockets of all types and configurations. During this cruise, they were equipped with the B model. They flew all types of missions, both air to air and air to ground. Later, when they were equipped with the J and N version, in the late 60's early 70's, there would have been a greater focus on air to air roles, but no doubt they would have practiced some ground pounding. Apart from using the centreline tank, instead of the wing tanks, everything goes for a Phantom! HTH, Joel
