Montex masks and markings

Hobbydecal stencils

Master guns for the wing guns and Quickboost guns for the cowling guns

Ultracast wheels

Ultracast seat

Ultracast prop & spinner

Ultracast exhausts

So far I've painted the cockpit using Gunze RLM02 with RLM66 for the Instrument Panel and weathered with Vallejo acrylics and Citadel washes. I've painted the wheel wells using the same method but I forgot to photograph them.

Also, without photos, I have painted the wheel hubs, prop, radiators and gun barrels, all in a variety of Gunze and Alclad.

A few extras! There's more there than I have ever put on all my kits put together!

I have to say that the way you have made and painted the cockpit just screams quality. :goodjob:

Thanks. The main parts are fixed together and it's almost ready for some paint. Having a day off to watch The Pacific today so I'll update tomorrow with some photos.

Finally, some photo's. I couldn't get the lighting right so they're a little orange and don't show the pre/post-shading very well.

The airframe and all the small parts have been primed in Alclad grey primer. I then pre-shaded the bottom with black and sprayed Gunze RLM65 over that. I then lightened the RLM65 with white and highlighted the centre of the panels before covering the whole lot in a very thin layer of RLM65 again. The photo's don't show the effect, but it looks good in natural light.

Next I will be masking off the bottom and pre shading the top before spraying RLM70 all over.

Edit: fixed the pictures.

Progress! The top camo colours are finished: (Pics of the finished model will be taken in natural light so won't have the orange tint to them.)

Next up: Painting the markings.

Quick update: The last few nights I've been busy painting the markings on. Should have finished, but made a stupid mistake and forgot to put the centre masks of the 0's in so I need to fix that by re-applying the masks and painting the camouflage back into the centre's.

I also messed up painting the red tip of the spinner so I've stripped the paint ready to start again.
