Here's my introduction, was already "active" at Britmodeller's site before discovering this thread:
The name is Jack Gryskiewicz, born and raised in the Netherlands, half polish half dutch, my old man roamed the battle fields in WWII and ended up in the Uk afterwards, but decided to try-out the land of wooden shoes, milk and honey
I'm 53 years old, and can't remember any period in my life without aircraft models, real aircraft and aviation in general.
On the modeling subject 1/32 scale is my main (actually only....) interest, being it fixed or rotary aircraft, and lately building only vacform and/or scratchbuilding.
On the "real-life" subject i'm active in air traffic control, either operational or as training "expert"....(TWR/APP EHBK...
And though i will ignore everything said about it, i deny having my son influenced with the aviation bug, as he's FO flying B737's......
I will be officially going non-operational in about 2 years, mandatory by dutch law, so i'll have ages, eras and centuries to go to be able to finish all the kits gathered in the past and being stashed in the attic.....
Have fun modelling,
Jack.
