Phil @ Flory Models
Yep a ship this time The Fujimi 1/700 scale Yamato. Great kit, went together a dream. Now for God sake, can I now build something bigger please. My eyes don't like it.
perry
Beautiful work Phil! Did you have to make the blast bags or were they already molded on the gun barrels?

I've just found out some info about this version of the Yamato, it's been bugging me It's a whiff. There was plans at one stage to upgrade the main guns from triple 18" monsters to double 20" monsters Nice one Phil

Skii
Fantastic job Phil - but what a glaring error for a kit manufacturer to make - amazing !! EDIT.. aaahh - missed the bit about 'Super Yamato' which was a design for 3 turrets with twin 20" guns per turret as opposed to 3 x 18" triple gun turrets - it never got off the drawing board though. All is forgiven Fujimi

JosephLalor
I've the Tamiya kit substantially under way, back in my Mum's house, so no work on that for a long time. I'm afraid you do have to make the blast bags on that one. Joseph
