Spittie boffins - please help!

OK, I'm officially confused now...

I've got Airfix's lovely little Spittie Mk22/24 talking to me from the stash, begging to be built (ok, so maybe that's not normal to most people but it is to me...)

What colour were the interiors on these? Should it be interior green or the black associated with the post war aircraft?

I can accept black for the FR47, but I ain't so sure on the Mk22/24

The unrestored 24, at Duxford, has a green interior, and, although, at first sight, the 24, in the RAF Museum, is grey, it was obviously repainted, since it's possible to see areas of green showing through the wear, and the seat shows the standard red, in patches, too.

Seafires (which had areas of black as early as the XVII) were built by Westland, but Supermarine stayed with "normal" Spitfires, and even took over some which had been started at Castle Bromwich. I'd stick to green.
