CliffB
This brings my collection of Chaco War aircraft to the princely total of four. Only another 44 to go. Between Sept 1934 and Jan 1935, Bolivia aquired three K43s for use as bombers. They were one of the few Bolivian aircraft to be camouflaged from new and were obtained surreptitiously via Columbia and Brazil. One aircraft was lost in action, but the remaining two survived the war and were converted into airliners for service with Lloyd Aereo Boliviano. The model is a mild conversion from the 1/72 Special Hobby kit, with the dorsal gun position being added using bits from my spares box. Maxidad
Great looking model there; I love these esoteric subjects. And knowing MPM/Special Hobby I expect it was a tricky build. Well done!
Deon
What a lovely aircraft, great scheme too, nice one
CliffB
Thanks for your comments guys - much appreciated. I think this was one of the earlier MPM efforts and was hard work in places. I'm about to start an MPM Blenheim 1 and on first inspection this looks to be a peach of a kit. Cliff
