Tim
Image stab isn't much use for air-to-air photography, an average sized lens doesn't need it in any case. The main problem is finding a suitably clear piece of canopy (or window in the case of a tanker) to shoot from. Even the bits that look optically clear can actually be pretty poor and you often don't find out until you blow-up the finished picture on your desk top. The only sensible thing you can do is take lots of shots from slightly different parts of the plexiglas and hope that some of them will be clear enough to get a sharp image! Course, sometimes even a standard sized lens ain't much use - this needed about 15mm! ... Edited January 3, 2008 by Tim
