Morning all;
Time for another update, I just have the rigging and weathering to do now, the rudder is not fitted as yet, cos every time I've fitted it in the past, when I come to do some work on the plane, I keep knocking the bl** dy thing off, so I'll leave that till nearer the end.
As usual all comments gratefully received.

Bye for now.

Pete.

Thanks Rowan, looks a bit different now though, with a liberal coating of Western Front mud and muck.

A sad morning today folks, it has taken me 3, yes, 3 hours to get one bl***y rigging wire to stick, why oh why is rigging such a problem?????????

But we will persevere, only the rigging left now, so fingers crossed we might get it finished by 31st July!!!!!

Cheers

Morning all;

I'm declaring the SE5A finished, now be gentle with me, this is the first 'stringbag' I've ever built to completion, also this is my first completed GB, I've learnt a hell of a lot from building this, what to do and what not to do, it's far from 100% and there are bits of it I'm not too happy about also bits of it that look ok, enough rambling and on with the piccies.
As usual any comments gratefully received and welcome.

Thanks for looking.

Cheers for now.

Pete.

These 1\32nd Kits really look inspiring. Like the way that your ribbing is showing thru' pale - really looks effective.

Thanks guys, yes it is my first bipe, when once I'd got in to the sequence of everything clean and each end of the wires free from old or sticky CA the rigging went really well, I'm on to a Camel now, I don't know if I'll get it finished by the end of the GB, we will have to see.

Nice work, should be proud of it, has a really authentic look. Rigging neat and tidy and a very convincing woodgrain on the prop and struts. First biplane! I would never have guessed it. :goodjob:

Well done Pete - that's a brilliant first effort and congratulations on the rigging!

As I said in the PM, the Camel is high on my list of priorities for future decals - not in time for your build though - good luck with that!

Well done, dear boy!
First fully rigged bipe? You would never think so!

Lovin' the PC10, rib detail and woodwork.
