Zymurgy
So, first off, the obligitory box and sprue pics - So, the box and the sprue looked good to my minimal knowledge so i thought i would give it a crack. Well, how wrong could i have been.........
Zymurgy
so, first off the cockpit. Putting it together via the instructions and i came across the first 2 issues with the kit. Firstly, in the middle of the highlighted bit there should be a rectangular hole to locate the rest of the instruments however it's blatently missing. Secondly, it turns out that the instructions have the joysticks as being the wrong way around!! On test fitting the instrument panel i found this out much to my dismay. More updates tomorrow........ daz greenwood
The slot for the IP could be flashed over on one my late dad built. Did you turn the cockpit floor over to see if it had been flashed over, because if it was you could get a scalpel and open the slot up!

Zymurgy
well, having looked at the missing locator in the cockpit, it wasn't just flashed over. I ended up having to use a small drill to get a couple of pilot holes in place and then use mini files to create the rest of the hole. Had to go through about 2mm of plastic so not sure what happened when it was moudled! After some delicate strugling i have managed to remove the incorrectly facing 'joysticks' and have now re-fixed them into the correct position. No photo's tonight i'm affriad due to an open bottle of wine and a reclining chair!!

daz greenwood
My late dad built all the Italeri UH-1 series and loved em all! The only one he had trouble was with the Bell 47.

I have a slight issue of all the modelling skill of a handcuffed hyperactive monkey though! Do you happen to know what other UH-1's they did in the 1/72 scale? Would love to add another couple to this one

ASHO77
Well this is my version of the kit you're building now, different model of course, same maker. The only issue I really had with it was the two part body-cockpit make up and the glazing not fitting right. But all in all it's not bad for the scale it is.One of my fav choppers next to the Blackhawk.
