Although this is now old news I have only just seen it myself and was utterly blown away..................

She is now safe and secure and will be properly lowered when the snow has thawed, best of luck to all the NEAM guys and hopefully the damage is very minimal.

Wow, that's some weight of snow! I guess it's just sheer wing area - can't think of many aircraft which would collect snow more efficiently than a Vulcan. Looks like the tail warning radar has come off. :( I hope they get her sorted out soon!

Looking at those pictures, it makes you realise how easy it is to make a Vulcan look substantially smaller than they in a photograph!

Oh dear Tony!!!! :P , Davec I think someone worked out that the total weight of the snow would be around 20,000lb in old money which is not far short of a full bomb load.

I have seen the card on their webby, very good, I think they have had the local news on the case too!.
