desmojen
Well I finally finished it! Over 5 months in the making, I have at last put the finishing touches on this afternoon. The kit is nothing short of brilliant, if a little pricey, and while not up to the ease of use standards we expect from an IM kit these days, it is certainly by far the best resin kit I've made. Look out for the build article in Model Airplane International some time in the near future Jen.
goon
A very special build. I love that.
AnonymousFY21
Very nice Jen. Is it wood effect on the upper fuselage, and if so how did you go about it, decal, or the old oil paint over white/cream base coat? rich
alex
looks brilliant! Well done! Alex

cmatthewbacon
Awesome, Jen... just awesome. Aren't you just a teeny bit worried about that big resin beastie and those thin little undercarriage/beaching dolly legs? bestest, M. ... and yes, please spill the beans on the wood effect - I've got a Firefly dinghy that needs lots of mahogany! bestest, M. Tripehound
I bought one of those - I might just leave it in my stash and put a picture of yours on the shelf. Those spindly little beaching dolly legs - are they piano wire?

desmojen
Thanks guys To answer what I can, the wood effects are indeed oil paint over a beige basecoat finished with lashings of ginger beer Klear. The undercarriage is made from wire and is more than strong enough. The worrying part is the wing struts because they are all made from resin leaving it just a tad fragile Jen.
