modelman182
Hi Guys Having decided to participate in this (my first GB) I've taken a few pics of the work so far. I'm not modelling much right now, but seem to have managed to 'overload' my desk with a variety of kits. This vacform is, I hope, going to be my first vacform completion and a testing ground for my skills in preparation for the vacform TSR.2 I have in my stash. The Kit :- :pic taken 02/05/09: The work so far: Parts removed from backing sheet - :pic taken 19/07/09: Fuselage sanded, taped together, canopy 'rough-cut' and test fitted to fuselage: :pic taken 23/07/09: Slow going, but I'll defo get it done before year end (I hope! LOL!)... Mike
Good choice of subject, Kevin. I've got the Falcon kit of this, which will have to be done some day
Andrew Jones
Not the best kit for a first vacform, very basic to say the least, I wish you luck with it. The Falcon Swift FR5 is in a different league.

The Falcon Swift FR5 is in a different league. Hi Andrew It was the 'basicness' of it that appealed to me, quite honestly. I wanted something that I could concentrate on getting the parts out and shaped right (something I had failed to do, to my satisfaction, on my previous two attempts). Plan to scratchbuild the cockpit and wheel wells - which I enjoy doing anyhow. I wondered whether the Falcon was a 'better' kit - you've answered that for me, thanks. As I got this one for next to nothing (thrown in with a trade deal, in fact) I don't mind if I 'crash and burn' with it - though I shall do my damnedest NOT to! LOL! Thanks Mike, for the welcome. I doubt if I'll get this one done as quick as you've cracked that Seafang! Kevin S
