Luckly the lower hull was ok so all the wheels suspension bits were ok I decided to use the new upper hull but modified the engine covers The Turret I'm going with a MK5 But will be covering the NBC Unit with a tool box piccies coming later on Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

At the war and peace show I managed to get a look at an accurate armour version and mine was well out all that needed doing on this one was basic tidying up and wheels painting Well RIP So heres the new one First I redid the engine covers I used wire this time round Next is the wheels painted And the turret all done ready for paint ...I added tammy tape for the thermal sleeve Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

seanrgb Posted August 1, 2007 Author Share Posted August 1, 2007 Well just a little progress Today I scratch built the side Radio pod ... luckily for me I had a spare side tool box ( You can see the tool box next to the radio) The measurement of the Tool box was 2 cms ..where as the radio need to be 1 cm so i chopped out 1 cm , Covered it in plastic card The hieght of the radio was ment to be just under 1cm so that was filed down I then scribed in some detail ( You can't see much at the moment) Then I just painted the top of the tool box Brown and Grey blue Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

As a pongo you sould know that the paint is never perfect on the real thing, your paint is probubly too good if anything. My mate who was in the royal engineers said that my models never looked as if they had been within a mile of a squaddy, as it still had all the tools,lights, guns etc still on them. What is in the dish in the background, have you let your rabbit loose on your desk? your Chief is looking great.
