model_madness
Well here are some pics, weather turned out to be super, best in months, lots of sun, cloud cover was fairly high, place was packed to almost bursting as the good weather ensured every person and his offspring descended on Fairford! Sorry but the camera is only a Nikon 990, with a telefoto lens, nothing special, but hope it gives you some sense of what was there. Enjoy! I certainly did ( and have a nice red face to show for it! )

KiwiSteve
Great Pics MM Stunning weather by the looks of it Was the F-35 just static display? It does look really plastic compared to the other aircraft there. Damn with the people next to it you can really see how big the Su-30 really is! Cheers for sharing Edited July 15, 2007 by KiwiSteve
Fmk.6john
KiwiSteve The F-35 was an FSM (Full Size Mockup), made from a steel frame that stands on real undercarriage and then component parts made from wood/GRP are attatched to make the model. The cockpit was fully detailed with equipment but was not open for the public as it is a 'secret'!. Also the engine set up on the stand next to it was an FSM too. Regards, John. Bloody awful queue the last few miles Missed the B-1 and Sukhoi too Only managed to get in at about 3:30!!!!! So where are the decent planes , or was this just a modern global warming show and no props ? Actually Chris, i seem to have missed a whole section somehow, during my travels The props must have been hidden:D It wasn't well laid-out at all IMO, static displays all over the place
