1275i
Has anyone ever built this kit and does it have any issues? Any help is much appreciated. Cheers, Rob
smeds
Biggest problem you have is fit. The fuselage sections appear to be different diameters for starters. The leading edge of the fin has issues, narrower than the rest of the fin. The upper wing join to the fuselage is poor, needs reinforcment. The nose section is also poor. nothing under the visor, just a hollow nose cone. Don't try to make the drooping nose work, it will break. Thats just for starters. Enjoy !! smeds
Mark
In the middle of doing one right now and well, hmmmm........ It's easily the best 1/72nd Concorde out there! All points above are valid, although Bra-Z do a resin insert for under the visor. The only way to make the visor work would be to try and copy the fragile plastic linkages in metal! Good Luck!! AnonymousA667
As above, but to add to the list the nose gear bay is positioned too far aft and the visor is too long. Parts fit is indescribably poor, but as busdriver points out this is it if you want a 1/72 Concorde. peebeep

chadders
All the above + the wheels are too narrow mate. Airwaves do (did) replacements, Mark
atdb27
Re fuselage sections - Glue the 3 port side pieces together and the 3 stbd side pieces. Easier to do filling along a seam than all the way round! DONT paint the inside black - A PIG to cover up with the white colour. Engine parts in black aren't much help either. Nosegear bay - Just how 'too far back' is it please anyone ? Adrian Edited January 9, 2009 by atdb27
AnonymousA667
Nosegear bay - Just how 'too far back' is it please anyone ? I didn't make any notes as mine was already underway when I found out and I decided to leave it. I think it may have been 13mm. peebeep

kitnut617
I've got one on the go too, I found quite a few things wrong, especially the wings and nacelles. If you'd like to have a look at this link I've tried to explain how I went about correcting it from what I can see from photos http://thekitforum.16.forumer.com/viewtopi...sc&start=15 go to page 2 for most of the relevant info, the rest is about RAF Concordes.
