Thanx Ted.

I'm enjoying it!

The biggest hurdle will be removing the mould seam from the canopy.

Cheers Daz

Hi Daz

Its easy mate, I use some very fine wet and dry after scraping away the mould seam with a knife blade , use a bit of masking tape to protect the parts you dont want to remove.

To finish I use the tamiya polishing compound, it comes up a treat, for a 72nd scale canopy it shouldn't take you more than 10 minutes tops to finish mate.

I know you can get nail buffers with a fine almost like micromesh material on them for less than a pound which work very well.

You'll be alright Daz, I've heard that some people use toothpaste to polish up, not sure if it works well, but you'd have great mint smelling canopies

Guys I need your help please.

I'm just doing the loadout for the A-7, and I'm wondering if the Mk 82's had the fuse extender's or the normal fuses.

TIA.

Cheers Daz

Either style would be acceptable, it merely depends on what sort of target is being attacked. I built a Monogram 1/48 A-7B years ago and armed it with Mk82 with fuse extenders on TERs, along with a pair of Shrikes for SAM suppresion, a pair of fuel tanks and, of course two AIM-9Bs.

Your A-7 is looking really good!

Thanx guys.

I'm hoping to have the SLUF finished by the weekend.

I'm going to be removing the mould seam on the canopy today and finishing the loadout.

Then it's back to my armour, or something else for the Navy GB.

Right a bit more done to the A-7.

I think I've sorted the canopy, it just needs a polish.

Good outcome Daz.

That took some patience and perseverance and a good measure of bravery (do you sense my fear of working with canopies?) - great result.

Andrew.
