Hello from France,

It seems there are articles on the Fairey Fulmar in these four "Model Aircraft Monthly" issues (january 2004, june 2005, january 2006 and august 2007)

Who could tell me exactly what is in these articles ? (building kit, pictures...)

Hi Dominique, can't help you with 2004 or 2005 but the Jan 2006 article covers a build of the 1/48 scale Warrior Model Fairey Fulmar as an NF Mk II, The August 2007 issue contains an article covering the operations of 806 Naval Air Squadron on Malta, and a build of the MPM 1/48 scale Fulmar Mk I.

The article covering 806's operation does not have any clear close up photos of the Squadron's aircraft and contains four photos of the sole surviving Fulmar at the FAA museum.

MAM Jan 2004 has a 7-page article by Gary Hatcher (now editor of SAMI) on building the Revell 1/72 Fulmar. Includes cockpit sketches from the Pilot's Notes and a page of detail shots of the preserved one at Yeovilton.

MAM Jun2005 has a 5-page article by Kevin Baxter on building the Vista 1/72 Fulmar (ie same kit as above) with folded wings. He also uses the Falcon Clearvax canopy and Airwaves etched brass detail set.

I’m building the MPM’s kit (1/48), it will also have one wing folded and the other with the flap’s block folded on.

I still have much work to do...
