Hi Guys - I'm not sure that this should really have it's own thread - but, well, it is 'In Progress..'!!!

As you can see, I'm now building the much vaunted 1/48 TSR-2 for MIS and these are the first shots that I've taken of it. I have to say that this really is a fine kit and fits together really well so far - unlike it's 1/72 cousin. Detail is amazing too; just take a look at the cockpit and wheelwell/bomb bay assemblies to see what I mean by that!

Anyhows, here she is in all her glory - I hope you enjoy seeing the model in bits and that I don't have too many of you finding my house in the middle of the night to take a closer look... :wicked:

Spence you sod, we will now have Skii mooning about the place with his tongue dragging along the ground, dribbling everywhere!

That looks right neat and although I said I wouldn't get one I'm weakening after seeing those pics. Look out for late night callers....

I noticed the bomb bay/wheel bay detail on the sprues & the test built at Telford, and was very pleased with the level of detail they'd managed to cram in, given the limitations of injection moulding. The cockpit looks quite nice too, if a little "heavy" compared to resin. I'm so glad to hear they've listened to the criticisms of the 1:72 kit & improved the fit... I'm looking forward to January very much :)

I spent a couple of hours staring up that backside of the built-up test shot @ Telford so I know how good this looks, but even so its nice to see some WIP pics

Well with this and the 1/24 Mosquito, are we having a "Airfix New Release 2009" groupbuild? :hmmm:

Stop them all sitting in peoples stashes, (and I'll be able to copy all of your good ideas!)

Ayup All...

I saw the test shot too at Telford, and was sorta impressed, but the shots Spence has given us are well fan-bloody tastic... it looks well better in bits ! minus all that black stuff in the panel lines... i think an order is in order....

Thanks for the pics, Spence...

Soooo - you like my TRS2 eh..?!

Here's another shot, this time of the cockpit in place. As you can see, the sidewalls are rather bare and could do with a little extra detail - nothing that a little rod and strip can't fix methinks...

Laters! Spence

Oh I am so looking forward to this one... Ever since seeing the sprues at Yeovilton I've wanted to start work on one!

You're a lucky boy Spence!

Karl.
