Check your Six...1/48 Messerschmitt Me262A-1a KG(J)6

Recommended Posts

#12/2018

After the KG(J)54 bird, my dad now built a partner for it from KG(J)6.
Hobby Boss kit with EagleCals, Tamiya and Gunze acrylics, EZ Line for all the wires.

This aircraft was found by allied troops in May 1945. It was used by Wilhelm Niederkrüger for two recorded training flights. Not known if it was used for more or combat duty.

Veri nice build. But perhaps not necessary to accentuate the panel lines, since they were normally puttied over to gain the last ounce of speed advantage…

Kind regards,

Joachim

thanks!

Yes, wouldn´t be neccessary with most models because many panel lines are hardly visible or sealed like on the 262 and 109, but it brings the model more to life, gives more "depth", so it doesn´t look like a toy. So my dad usually washes them always.

I first looked at the pictures on my tablet, which seemed to compress the images to fit the screen, foreshortening the image - the result was the cutest Egg-Plane EVER!

Now that I'm viewing on a desktop machine I can see it in all it's glory - excellent build and beautifully finished in a most interesting scheme. Congratulations on your build. I wish I could reach that level of proficiency....

I like the 'patchy' appearance with different color shades.

Well done.

my dad liked this "patchwork" scheme, makes it stand out a bit from the "usual suspects"

Interesting colour scheme and a great finish, I really like the work done in the cockpit.

kit cockpit, only added Eduard PE seatbelts

instrument board is done with the kit decals, looks good, no need for an AM cockpit

like with the KG(J)54 machine, also this will get a 109 companion, gonna do "white 9" which will be included in one of the coming Eduard G-10s
