71chally
This is a weird one, which suddenly came on two days ago. I always use Google Chrome but suddenly I cannot write posts or PMs on this forum from it. The dialogue boxes open up but I cannot write in them, also I cannot quote. All other GC web functionality is unchanged and is fine. Any ideas as to what has happened? I'm writing this from Firefox but I must admit I really don't get on with that well and it also has minor functionality issues for me. Mike
Sounds like it's browser related, so try updating Chrome, or I think you might be able to "refresh" it by re-copying the files. Clear your cache first, and see how you get on
71chally
Success! Thank you Mike. Basically cleared the cache, deleted all history etc and checked for latest updates, now on Version 66.0.3359.117 (Official Build) (64-bit)
GordonD
This happened to me last night - it refused to recognise when I clicked in the 'Reply' box. I tried updating to the latest version of Chrome but that didn't help so I ended up making my post in Microsoft Edge 🤮 Then when I went back to Chrome it started working again. This morning when I did my update to the Astronauts' Birthdays thread I copied the acknowledgement to the Spacefacts website from the previous day's post, as I always do, but it wouldn't paste as anything other than plain text - I had to add the link via the toolbar.
