Where was the first one taken? The Valiant in the background means its not Fairford or Greenham Common, but much older, so maybe a Waddington or Finningley at home day?

The SC54 picture was taken at a Prestwick air show around 1960,cant remember the exact one.

Taken by my father with a Eumig 35mm camera.

Prestwick at that time had a USAF base and the 67 ARS was based there with SC54s and SA16 Albatross,if I remember correctly the SH19 Chickasaw's departed a couple of years earlier.

A large number of very interesting aircraft used Prestwick, happy days

Thanks for the information. It's really interesting seeing all the really old stuff.

I started doing photography properly in the late 80's, so i'm lucky enough to have seen some variety too, especially as i have done an awful lot of foreign aviation tours, but i feel sorry for the enthusists nowadays as there are so few shows to go along to.
