replicant
Hello Britmodellers! This is my 26 year old scooter, Spook Killer of Top Gun, finished OOB in 1992, never shot by me but quite dusty after the years... You are right, sometimes removed, some had, some not, couldnt make this clear, may be at times, this 56 was the other companion at that time, the only 55 picture i found isnt clear

replicant
Thank you all, mates, that you like it! My references from 1992 are all saved analogue at my alzheimer department... I found a quick pic that saved my little scooter from a possible chainsaw massacre: 55 with IFR Receptacle, ........it`s a boy! noelh
I probably built the same kit around the same time frame. In that very scheme. Sadly it didn't survive the vicissitudes of time. I have a soft spot for the Top gun/aggressor schemes. Built quite a few in my heyday. Thanks for posting it.

PattheCat
Welcome back to the danger zone..... . Wouldn't you do some more dusting off and put others like this for us to see? a Tomcat or an F5 beside it, mmh? Let's remember the longest ad for the Navy. Great! FAAMAN
Great looking "Mongoose", nicely finished Gotta love a Scooter In answer to you query on A-4E Bu.No.150044, she most definitely did not have the IFR probe fitted whilst at FWS Mirramar 1978 - 1982, just see these links, https://www.cloud9photography.us/Military-Aviation-10/Douglas-A-4-Skyhawk-Military/i-RkDKVVK https://makettinfo.hu/forum/image.php?img_url=upload%2F201104%2F55am_a-4e_150044_kb1984.jpg At the angle the pic was taken you should be able to clearly see the last 6 inches or so beyond the nose, not to worry as there wasn't a lot of info around when you built it Regards FAA Spoiler Edited April 15, 2018 by FAAMAN mieed pic
