Jim Wasley
This is what it was all about when I bought the Perry figures, really loved these camels first time I saw them on line, camels were OK but the figures to me were so rough their rifles have no real shape to them and I had to bend so many parts to make look good,I did twig a few camels just bent their heads to give a mix and the same with some of the figures,I gave the camels about 5 colour washes to give different tonal value,it is a shame the pics do not show this up very well.I looked at so many pics of camels to see what colours there were, seems they come in most shades of thawn, read that some of the Sudan camels were darker, numbers were low and they did not always get the best camels,Just a tid-bit Australia has the most feral camels 1 to 1.2 million that occupy an area of 3.3 million square kilometres,so next time your in the pub you will be able to drop this into your conversation,The small board I have them on is just for this article they are just double sided taped on,may place them on something small so I can shelf them.Cheers
FredG
You can't go wrong with camels Jim, they're always impressive. Now you're making a silk purse out of a camel's ear
Silver Fox
Whatever the state of the castings you have done a marvellous job. I recently did some French Camel Corps from 1797-9 and they look to be the same castings.
