shar1982
Just finished nostalgic build of Matchbox's Tempest. Built as a MkII, I built a few of these when I was young, but all finished silver and using the Indian decals from the kit. I decided to ring the changes with this one so used some Xtradecals to represent an RAF machine based in India during 1946.

SimonR
Very nice, I want to done of these at some point. My dads first Squadron posting as an armourer was on Tempest II in Germany in late '45, got a great photo of him with one! Cheers Simon
Haggis9444
That's lovely.. One of my favourite looking aircraft ever. What scale is It? I'm sorely tempted to buy the Special Hobby 'Hi-Tech' 1/32 one but it's an eye-watering £80ish..
shar1982
It's 1/72 scale.

ColinChipmunkfan
Great finish on a well built model. As old as it is it still looks a good representation of a Tempest II, built one of these when it first came out and still have one up in the loft ready to build.

Learstang
I had one of these when it was new - great job on yours! Like most here, Matchbox kits seem to take me back to my not nearly misspent enough youth. Regards, Jason
cngaero
The old Matchbox Tempest stands up well and you've made a cracking job of this one. You've certainly done the old kit justice.
Eric Mc
Very nice. I built one of these not so long ago and really enjoyed the experience. Using aftermarket decals makes a big difference.
