I don't Leigh as I plan to build it in the older green & green QinetiQ scheme. Sorry, got sidetracked, a cracking build Mick, I know the effort and talent you must've put into that finish. Is it a viceless build or are there any obvious pitfalls for the kit-manglers like me out there? MarcNewitt
I loved the previous scheme on the Qinetiq Alpha but that looks superb. Shame they are no longer flying. Nicely done. Marc
MickE
Thanks for the good words all. Chris it is not a bad kit. It is not that obvious but the main undercarriage must be fitted when the underside piece is fitted. Also all the undercarriage doors are designed to be fitted open but pictures show that the two doors in front of three oleo legs are usually closed. The instrument panels have no dial details or decals and finally, the canopies don't fit too well in the closed position. If you are building yours in the green and black-green KinetiC scheme could I possibly ask you for one of the white C18 decals that says `beware of blast`? I lost one while building it. Obviously I will pay for it. Regards Mick

The undercarriage doors are usually open while the aircraft is being worked on, or before it goes flying. During engine start the doors will close as hyd' pressure builds. shame they've gone.
