Spitfire Vb research guides

Evening all

I'm starting to plan my 1/24 Airfix my Vb spitfire build and looking to include some scratch building that I've never attempted before.

Detail in the cockpit and wheel wells specifically but I'm sure there are a few other bits as I go along.

I've got the Haynes manual but there's not much specifically relating to a Vb so wondered what publications were useful for modelling a Vb.

I know my rewuest is really generic but if there's anything more detailed to help it would be great. I've had a look on Google and got a few bits but more is always good.

If be most grateful for any pointers help and advice.

Thanks

Anthony

The aircraft serving as our subject is Supermarine Spitfire Mk. Vb BL628 YO-D, recently completed by Avspecs Ltd in Auckland, New Zealand. Due to the fantastic quality of the restoration work which took full 30 years, the cockpit of this Spitfire conforms almost entirely to wartime production standards. For this reason, the following photographs can serve as reliable reference to the cockpit layout of the production Spitfire Mk. V.

The RAF museum reprinted the Spitfire V  manual in the 1970's,

back in  the 70's PSL did books to tie in with the Airix Superkits

Old,  but has some useful info.

Spitfire: The History by Morgan and Shacklady is the definitive work. Costs a lot and can be difficult to source at times but is worth every cent/pence for Spitfire enthusiasts.

Thank you for the pointer.

I'm only really needing something for this build so might not be worth getting for me this time. Thanks though
