Strangeways
Roden's 1/144 C-119 'Flying Boxcar'. I struggled a bit with this one, the plastic was pebbly and grainy on many parts and the overall fit wasn't great (though that could be down to user error). I added some detail to the flight deck but it's not visible at all through the tiny nose windows. The final finish was Alclad – the Humbrol tinlet is just there for scale. 55

Vinnie
Quite stunning, Mike. Are the red and white tail sections painted or are they decals?

CMSCHLOM
Just gorgeous! These used to fly over my house from O'Hare Airport where there was a reserve Boxcar unit located.

Rabbit Leader
... and here’s me thinking that you’ve performed miracles on Ifaleri’s 1/72 kit, only to open this post and view an exquisite Boxcar in 1/144!! .. insane and beautiful all at the same time. Yet again - you keep churning these little beauties out Mike, very well done. Cheers.. Dave

ajmm
Stunning work. Very impressive finish. I built this too in the same scheme so it’s certainly not user error - I had similar issues. Obviously yours is far more impressive than mine. I love the grimey finish to the Nmf, with the streaks from the panels. Very convincing and in scale.
