Highland Laddie
I have never seen the real version of this aircraft and am frustrated at the lack of clarity given on the construction sheets for this model and am having to guess a lot of the time. For example, photo etched parts PE29(PE28) and PE26(PE27) are shown having to be inserted into the engine nacelles, but how far in and in what orientation? Perhaps our member 'Navy Bird' who has built an excellent model from this kit could come to my rescue?
Navy Bird
I just tried to make it look like the reference photos. The front edge of the photoetch is a bit farther back than the leading edge of the intake. There are probably better photos out there. Here is a link to my WIP, it might be of some help: Cheers, Bill MODS: This should be moved to Aircraft Modelling By Era/Cold War methinks.

71chally
I haven't got the kit, and it looks like Navy Bird has it covered, but these may help Supermarine Scimitar F.1 XD137 112 R by James Thomas, on Flickr Scimitar F.1 XD317 port intake by James Thomas, on Flickr Scimitar F.1 XD317 port intake by James Thomas, on Flickr 3
