Steve J
Hi everybody. I have a Revell corvette that I started back in 2013 and I have decided that this year I am either going to finish it or throw it in the bin. This is where I got to before shelving it - I have a question regarding the colours for the munitions. As far as I can determine, the depth charges should be a light grey, the shells for the main gun should buff and the squid mortar bombs should be dark green. Can somebody either confirm or correct this? Steve
Bandsaw Steve
Iv’e got no idea about those colours- but don’t you dare throw this model in the bin! 😱 😧
robgizlu
Hi Steve J I agree with Bandsaw Steve - to throw it in the bin would be sacriledge Nice paint job on the hull. What paint did you use for the Western Approaches Blue? If you look at original pics of corvettes - the Depth charges come in a variety of colours including dark ?grey or green. I'm not certain anyone is going to contradict you As to the Hedgehog charges ?? once again they seem to come in a variety of colours, certainly from this well known pic - they don't appear obviously dark green..... Keep it coming!! Always good to see Corvettes being built Rob Edited February 23, 2018 by robgizlu

The white is a 20:1 mix of Tamiya white and light grey. I have a feeling that that light coloured hedgehog bombs in that photo are practice ones. Niall
The dark hedgehogs are the dummy ones. I highly recommend the GLS Hedgehog model, here - https://www.djparkins.com/product.php?productid=18197&cat=303&page=3 The white metal stanchions from the same site are wourth buying as well.
Steve J
I found this - so I'm going with green for the hedgehog bombs. Steve
