Edge
Lovely looking build bentwaters - I hope to get my hands on one as soon as the canopy issues are resolved & Mel has them back in stock. My plan is for Coastal Command markings, although that could be some way in the furure! Edge
TheyJammedKenny!
Just came across this now, and it is a gorgeous, inspiring build! Agree this is overdue as an injection-molded subject, but I'll content myself for now by just staring at yours.
kapam
As everyone else has said, that is a mighty fine build. Beautiful!
SAT69
Excellent build! From what I understand, the Hastings was a popular aircraft, dependable and more comfortable to fly in that some of its peers of the period.
Robin
Don't know why I picked up on this, I think that the post it would have had many more hits if it had been given a proper title, I do not ever recall the Hastings being called a Haystack!!!. I do remember the Hastings that we had at RAE Farnborough in the early 60s when I was working at IAM, I think that this had a radome under the forward fuselage and was used for general freight. Because of the placement of the undercarriage, the aircraft was a b-gg-r to load, the fuselage angle was so steep you almost needed to be a mountaineer. great aircraft though.
