Britman i notice the red triangle with the 899 winged fist.....when I joined 899 as a pt4 in 87 that panel 2a stbd had just the red triangle which was the bass beer logo since they sponsored the squadron....like 815 were sponsored by guiness and 848 by carlsberg tetly.

Being pedantic, 848 would have been sponsored by one of the breweries that formed Allied Breweries or Allied-Lyons / Allied Domecq

of which Tetley were a part, along with Ind Coope and Ansells  Carlsberg were 'late to the party', the merger only took place in 1992.

I guess that fits since 848 reformed about 1994 95 out of 707 and eventually 772....so that would account for Carlsburg dont quote me on exact dates ....its there or there abouts.
