Test fitting the fuselage and cockpit arrangement.

Not very detailed but what are we expecting of these kits?

I wasnt planning to renew the pit but i added a Mk.10c bang seat which is an improvement of the kit part by a country mile.

Then it was painted.

Fuselage cemented without issue will require a bit of filler, and the wings got their vanes.

All filled and sanded using 'sprue glue'.

Tamiya x-1 airbrushed on. and now she is looking nice.  One thing i did have a problem with is the canopy didnt fit that weel and was too big, so a bit of sanding here and there was required.

I think she is ready for decals tonight.

Rightho,

Update and reveal photos.

Problem, There was not advise to add nose weight in the instructions and i completely forgot that they hawk is a tail sitter. Any way a nice chopping of the nose at the panel line enable some lead shot to be fixed into place.

Reveal photos.

A final coat of flat to finish her off. This was the scheme she wore at Farnborough.
