ProfSparks
Hi All Here's the third round from the Airfix 1/72 "100 Years Of Naval Aviation Collection" A50105. It's a Vaught F4U-1D Corsair, one (and the last) of the various aircraft piloted by Robert Hampton "Hammy" Grey, a Canadian who was listed as MIA in August 1945, and was posthumously awarded the VC. Built reluctantly out of the bag, with the missing cockpit interior, wing radiators and tail wheel hook assembly scratched from bits and bobs. The canopy was cut open in a final attempt at salvation as it was such a poor fit, but I'd already built the cockpit interior thinking it wouldn't be seen. Ho hum. Anyhoo, sprayed as usual with the included gift set pots using a cheap airbrush, and it's still raining outside. WIP here http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235030521-100-years-3-vought-f4u-1d-corsair/ Here's the family so far Thanks for all the guidance and encouragement, see you soon. Comments and suggestions welcome Cheers Steve Edited April 16, 2018 by ProfSparks

A bit like my kids Cheers Steve

Eric Mc
Nice Corsair. I've just built the Frog one - which is marginally younger mould wise.
