Wow....that bomb bay. All that tech and all that plastic!

If I wore a hat, I’d doff it, so you’ll have to make do with an emoji :worthy:

This bodes well for the rest of the build.

Thanks guys, you are really too kind. :penguin:

A little more tonight.

the other wall was put in and some wires at the far side. The tops had to be sanded, I couldn’t get her looking as neat as I wanted so I stuck on two strips of paper thin plasticard. Much better.:howzat:

I don’t know if you can see the little holders just in the middle of the main section? Well they’re CrAzY small, I have to fit 0.3mm wire twixt that bomb bracket and the holder. My eyes are  so I’ll leave the rest for tomorrow.

oh and.

I have re-realised a big problem with your builds Johnny

I looks in, all contented and amazed

I takes in all the 'stuff' you do, have done and what you say is next then I move away not remembering I ought to express my feelings, you know, as you do

I kinda float on in a fugue state as they say...

That bomb bay roof is terrific, in a very Spadgent kind of way

A lovely job of work sir, proper lovely

Thanks for doing it for us

It wasn’t the cheapest but I needed quite a big one so the 13cm one seemed a good deal £27.00 but shipping made it £30 Hitorex agents was the best price I found. Great piece of kit too. I really trust RP Toolz stuff since the punch. Hope that helps.

John

RP Toolz aint cheap but worth the outlay as they are top quality. I have both the circular punch sets. I broke the 0.5mm punch so I emailed the company with a request to purchase a replacement. The sent me a replacement free of charge in a couple of days. Not only do you get quality, but great customer service too.

Looking at the pic of the runners I decided to rip em off and get some plastic strip. I think it was @perdu who mentioned Parabellum in Birmingham. I decided to pay a visit today to see what they had in stock. HOLY MOTHER MARY!  I don’t think my eyes were ready for such a shop. Needles to say I have my plastic strips and also my new LMS. :inlove:

I’m going to try and get the Lightning RFI done this weekend and fingers crossed more on the big un.

It's a magical place Johnny, but be careful you can venture in and never leave...

Hi guys.

A small amount done on the Lanc but nothing worth showing. Pancakes and love hearts have soaked up all the time this week. I did get a grand valentines gift however.

39391043125_9cc3b810a3_b.jpg

it’s got a Lancaster on the other side too.

Also as I mentioned to Tomo I visited my new favorite shop it the city and found these little gems.

It’s dangerous having that place so close to work.

Fingers crossed for some weekend action.

Have a wonderful Friday you lot.

Johnny.

Dangerous but oh so satisfying huh?

I used to work in St Paul's Square and on my route home was Bearwood (?)* Models in Constitution Hill

Right by my bus stop...

Need one say more?

*Been a long time but that is how my memory labelled the place, another treasure trove

I forgot about that place. “Mr Models” my friend lives about a street away. I’ve never visited it. I might have to sort that out. :rambo:

Ah no, sorry Johnny

Mr Models is in Bearwood

Bearwood Models had a shop in Constitution Hill, Hockleyish and one on the main street in Bearwood (which's name I can't remember)

They were mainly a Railway modelling Mecca I recall but did carry all the scratchbuilding paraphernalia I used to crave as a young man

All the sorts of real 'red' Slaters Rod and more plasticard and balsa than you should ever shake a stick at

Funny thing is Mr Models was only a few yards from my sister's house when she left home, in Abbey Rd (Iwouldn't dare forget that one) :)
