Truro Model Builder
I have recently started the big edit of my digital photographs, going back to 2006. The fifteen-odd years of transparencies will follow, when I get a decent scanner. As I come across interesting stuff I'll put a selection up. The show at Orléans-Bricy in 2006 -the equivalent to what was then RAF Lyneham, with two squadrons of Transalls and one of C-130s- saw superb weather for the whole weekend. I'd gone across with a few spotting buddies on the overnight ferry from Plymouth to Roscoff, with a leisurely drive through the French countryside via one or two airfields on Saturday, and then a good Sunday at the event itself; a good time was had by all. French military airshows are what the old RAF 'At Home' days used to be; cheap to get in (five Euros, I seem to recall), plenty of aircraft to see, decent food at sensible prices and no overload of bouncy castles and funfairs. What more can anyone want? Stars of the show for me were the two Skyhawks from the Singaporean training detachment, but there was a good mix of old and new, and the transport wing put on an excellent display. 20060611017 Boeing B-17G Fortress by Martin Schofield, on Flickr 20060611037 Nord N.2501 Noratlas by Martin Schofield, on Flickr 20060611083 Boeing E-3F Sentry by Martin Schofield, on Flickr 20060611090 Dassault-Breguet Mirage F.1CR by Martin Schofield, on Flickr 20060611098 Aérospatiale AS.350BA Ecureil by Martin Schofield, on Flickr 20060611103 Lockheed C-130H Hercules by Martin Schofield, on Flickr 20060611117 Transall C-160R by Martin Schofield, on Flickr 20060611120 Transall C-160R by Martin Schofield, on Flickr 20060611130 Douglas A-4SU Super Skyhawk by Martin Schofield, on Flickr 20060611145 by Martin Schofield, on Flickr 20060611148 by Martin Schofield, on Flickr

RidgeRunner
Tip - crop it more, bringing the four subjects closer. Be sure to get the “jelly” in the background. That’ll add drama. For this a high shutter speed will capture it. I know for this shot it is done but try it next time - close in and fast. ;).
